Small things bring a smile to you. We now enjoy the smell
Love vincas! So pretty!
Perfect
I feel bad for forgetting to buy more strawberry plants. It's a reason to visit the garden center again
Hugs!
There's nothing like a fresh-from-the-garden tomato! Sadly, the season here is so very short.
I'm so sorry. We're blessed to have plenty of time to grow tomatoes.
@PonyGirl1965 Here in the Teton I think our season is about 2 weeks!
@JacksonHoleGuy Buy a grow light and try to grow them hydroponically with as much time outside as you can manage
@PonyGirl1965 I'm actually considering adding a light to the greenhouse, but I need to rebuild the doors first.
@JacksonHoleGuy I have had amazing luck growing salad greens indoors under grow lights in a hydroponic aeroponic system. We all had big salads every day. I did not try tomatoes though. I'll try outside this summer.
@PonyGirl1965 Not enough room here to grow much, sadly. It's pretty cramped already.
Such joy in your post, love it!
Nature makes me happy.
@PonyGirl1965 me too, the madness melts away
I've been resurrected!
Hope all is well with you.
Welcome back Spunky!!! HUGS!!!!!!
@PonyGirl1965 Thanks.
I did vinca in some of my pots last summer for the first time and it performed great! Will definitely be getting it again.
The Vinca we planted last year flowered all summer. It was a great little plant. I hope this years is just as healthy and vigorous
My garden is doing good lots of growth on the cold weather plants The tomatoes and peppers just went in . Enjoy your day in the garden sexy woman !
I love the cold weather crops. I adore all the greens
Hugs!!
I planted cone flowers at my gent friend's and harvested some seeds last year. I'm going to try growing them on my balcony. The seeds have not sprouted yet.
Seeds can be temperamental. Were his flowers hybrids?
@PonyGirl1965 I don't think so. I grew those from seed, too.
I love to sit outside with the heady scent of honeysuckle in the warm summer air. Still a bit too early here for tomatoes and most of them are grown under glass. I followed in my father’s footsteps. He was an avid gardener. He had a garden of roses that were gorgeous and another fruit and veg garden which kept the house full of seasonal produce that actually tasted of something. I have stayed in the same house for over thirty years and every year we have wonderful fruit from trees that are just in blossom now. Victoria plums are my favourite and we always have a huge harvest. Can’t beat it.
Oh I would love to have a plum tree. I need to expand my orchard. I have peaches and a couple different pears.
Hugs!
@PonyGirl1965 I love pears. Did plan to buy a tree this year but it will be a while before I get any fruit. The plums are fabulous and the crop is always more than I can use myself. Cut it back a bit last year so it may reduce how many we get this year. Peaches need to be under glass here.
We got plants out up hear love tthis time of year
Spring is my favorite time of year
I hate honeysuckle, it is a invasive plant here. Creates havoc on fences. Not our native plant. This one is killing out the native which was wonderful to have. To early to plant tomatoes here but do have a lot in green house to transplant. Have a great day. Hugs.
Honeysuckle is super heavy. I have it growing on stock panels attached to t posts around Cowboys shop. It hides the ugly metal building. And we just mow over whatever creeps out
Hugs!!
@PonyGirl1965 you need to try the native honeysuckle, it has a nicer bloom and comes in shades of yellow and red.
That IS exciting! There is still a threat of cold weather here, so I won't buy anything til end of May. Since we don't have many trees on our property, Petunias do just fine.
Petunias are so pretty! They had a gorgeous selection in the garden area.
Love the Spring for the exact same reasons...hands in the dirt ,,helping things to reboot! Still rather early here....still rainy n cold some days....but soon ! Soon...can't wait. Love the contrast of the pinks there~
I was hoping to find some white too but they mainly had soft pink. So this year we will be pink
I love azaleas and other flowering shrubs, other than the occasional need to remove dead wood they tend to look better growing however they want!
My Red Tip Photinias bloomed like crazy this year. It was wild. I had some beautiful azaleas which the dogs killed. I need to find a new shady space. My roses are going bananas with blooms
